As I look back over my friendships in life my very best friends have been strawberry blonde and red-headed females. I am not sure why but I guess Randy is right I have a thing for red-heads. My Mom, her sister, and younger brother all had red or auburn hair - I tell people that God really intended for me to have red hair...I have pale skin that burns & freckles very easy, I can sometimes have the demeanor of a red-head, and my hair was auburn when I was a baby. I think at the last minute God said..."nah....I will make her hair dark and then I will give it some major curl when she turns about 13".
To my great surprise I think my little pale skin girl with the bright blue eyes might have auburn/red/strawberry blonde hair. I bought John this GIANT balloon at United Supermarket on Friday. The balloon is a giant sun smiling with the words "God loves you". Little did I know it would be "Little-Bits" most favorite entertainment! It's not so hard to believe my baby is 3 months old today. I learned quickly about time travel when I had John....who will be 4 in a few short months. :/
Christina...aka Keegan* is smiling, laughing, singing, cooing, kicking, reaching, and drooling all the time. My Daddy promises she will be talking by the time she is 6 months old. She is as Randy says "a Momma's girl deluxe!" Sometimes I am the only one that can calm her down...which makes my heart smile.
I posted the following pictures on Facebook but I think they are worth posting again...I love them! Christina spent some time with Aunt Leelee while John & I went swimming last week. Aunt Leelee is pretty darn good with a camera...I think her subject is just beautiful! Happy 3 month birthday baby girl! Mommy really loves you! You make me so happy and I am so proud of you my little pride and joy! I know you are tired of hearing it....but I am in love with a girl!
* Keegan was a name Randy and I really fell in love with early in the pregnancy. It's a Welsh Irish name meaning...."fierce little one"...which describes Christina perfect! We decided Christina had more meaning but we still call her Keegan when she sparks her personality!

I feel the same way you do about red/strawberry blondes! When I'm out in the sun, I burn within the first 5 minutes! I use SPF90, no lie!!! I love you my sweet dear friend and your blog makes me remember when my babies really were babies! Enjoy every second of every minute, in a blink of an eye, they are adults!

She is such a beautiful child! I know you will both be good parents and bring her up right.
