Monday Moment

Every 7cc5b52e018d6632time Randy and I see or hear an ambulance or fire truck we always say "God bless those people"  - somebody...somewhere is having a really bad day.  When we  ask God to  bless the people who are in need of the emergency services we are also asking for blessings to the paramedics and fire fighters.  We even have John saying "bless them".

Yesterday was the first time I had to call 911.  I was scared and didn't know what else to do.  The emergency responder was so kind and very calming (of course they are trained for that)...it was very reassuring.  Just like you see on TV!!

I thought my Daddy was having a stroke.  He was not responsive, not making any sense, and  very disoriented.

The fire truck was the first to arrive at my folk's ho676a58c51e92c000use.  They were very professional, kind and polite.  They were definitely a team and it was cool to see how each of them had their own role and took turns - like a well oiled machine.  Once the ambulance team arrived they took over but they all worked together.  Everyone seemed genuinely concerned and patient, and once again...calming.

I have always had a great respect for police officers, fire fighters, and paramedics.  I know that they do not get paid enough for their services.  Today I have greater affection for these men and women that put their life on the line to help and save us.

My Daddy is much better today.  It wasn't a stroke - PRAISE the LORD.  His blood sugar had bottomed out.  We spend a few hours in the ER getting his levels back to normal and went home.

I am so thankful my Daddy in heaven is taking care of my Daddy on earth.  I am also thankful to all the strangers that heard the sirens and said "God bless those people".

Oh my, I'm so glad it wasn't a stroke. I hope your daddy (or anyone in your family) doesn't give you another scare like that.
