Nap Time....and Bath Time

John woke up from his nap in the best mood today! He is in a relatively good mood despite the fact he is cutting six new teeth! He has two on bottom and two on top already…and now he is getting four more on top and two more on bottom. It’s funny…my world seems to be falling apart at the seams but when I see John…hold John…and laugh with him everything is okay! And my world is really NOT falling apart…just everything happens at once - Murphy’s Law –right??
John had his bath in the kitchen sink for the first time tonight. I have put off this event since we keep the house so cold and John wasn’t sitting up too good…since he sits up good now and I placed a space heater in the kitchen it went good! He was unsure about it at first but then he got into it!! Everyday is an adventure!!

Family Outing...

Me & John and Mom & Dad went to the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum today.
It is in Canyon, Texas which is 15 miles from us. We had a fun day and John was in a great mood! The highlight of the trip was a little red push car for children to have their picture made in. The age requirement was 3 – 6 years but we put John in it anyway…and he loved it!!
Here’s their web site if you wanna see…

Fun Date

My dear friend Hanna turned 18 on April 5th…so we celebrated it last night.
We went to the Amarillo Club for a great meal, to look at the pretty lights of the city, and to make fun of people dancing!
Hanna is a senior at Amarillo High…she is so awesome to say the least!! I wish I had enough room on my blog to tell you about all of her outstanding achievements but there are so many!! For instances…she is the orchestra queen…she is an officer in the orchestra…she has all “A’s” this year…she is “super” smart…she is going to All-State in May playing the cello….she is completing cosmetology school…she is active in church…I mean this is the original…Wonder Woman!! On top of all that…she is an amazing woman in Christ…she is beautiful…funny…smart…witty…and charming! I am blessed to have her in my life!
Can you tell that I am a “little” proud??

One Year...

One Year ago today Randy and I went to stork Vision and found out for sure we were having a son. We knew we were having a boy...remember my angel in 2004...and Melissa's vision...and my Mom's dream.

When the lady doing the sonogram said it was a boy I started crying...well...we both started crying. They had to stop doing to sonogram cause I was crying so hard. It was a great day!
John Randall...wow - what a year!

My Parents...

I am so blessed to have wonderful parents.
My Mom and Dad amaze me everyday. They get up and go…and go…and go! They run circles around me and Randy! When they moved here last year…it’s been over a year now…they were unpacked and settled within a month!!
To quote my Mother…”she can move an ocean quicker than Christin & I can move into a small apartment”…remember that one Beaver??? Mom – is witty and cleaver!
Back to my folks…they are so great with John – and he is crazy about them! They get in the floor and play with him, and they are constantly teaching them something new! What a joy it is to have them exactly one mile away from me!

A Girl for All Seasons...

When picking my favorite season I usually pick Fall.
I love when the air starts getting crisp, children going to school for the first time, the changing of the leaves, and FOOTBALL…high school, college, professional – I love football!

But then I think…hmmm I love Winter! I love the snow and the holidays!!
I am not a big fan of Summer…only cause its hot and…am…well…fluffy (its okay…I have come to the realization that…am fat but the word fat just sounds negative doesn’t it???…so I will stick with fluffy) So.…heat & fat…I mean fluffy people…just don’t mix! Although…today was the first day of the big diet and I am starting too exercise!
Back to my point!!! As I am now older and more aware of the “simple” things and I have discovered that I am in love with Spring! The colors of the trees, bushes, and grasses are AMAZING! They are so bright!! The different shades of pinks, purples, yellows, reds, and greens – WOW! I love it! I don’t think I have ever stopped to look at our Lord’s art work…and really appreciated it! I love to drive around and just look at the different shades…I yell at Randy to “Look.…look – I mean really look!” And think about it…these trees were just “dead” a few months ago…but they came back…and they will “die” again and come back again!! Some of these trees have never been pruned, or hand watered, or fertilized by any human but…
BUT the LORD took care of them. The Lord made sure they had food, water, and survived another harsh Winter. What a perfect time for Passover…the Lord came back…just like the trees!! Does that make sense to you?? Anyway…I hope you have beautiful color in your life today! I had to share some pictures from a crabapple tree in my front yard – it is so beautiful!!
