Am Going Miss This....

It was just yesterday.....

Randy was putting John's crib together.IMG_0014IMG_0015IMG_0169IMG_0168

Then he finally came...and enjoyed his new crib.IMG_0062IMG_0564IMG_0648  His cute mobile that matched his comforter died a slow and painful death.  He looks so innocent here but he was in the process of killing it with his bare hands!  IMG_1925IMG_1920

A few days after his 2nd birthday we decided to change his bed to a toddler bed.  He was having too much fun climbing out of his crib and surprising us in the middle of the night! We were scared that he would really get hurt.IMG_4601IMG_4596 Yesterday John was upgraded.  The toddler bed just seemed to small for a boy who is 38 inches tall and 37 pounds!  IMG_6299IMG_6305IMG_6303IMG_6301Randy and I decided a few months ago to get John a queen mattress.  It just so happens that the company that Randy works for sells mattresses so we order one.  The mattress has been in for a few weeks but we never took the time to update his room.

Well....last night (Monday night) John was sick all night.  Since the only bed in the house was our bed - Randy was up with us...which was a bummer for Randy - John & I can sleep all day but he has to go to work.    As soon as Randy got off work on Tuesday he brought the mattress home!  John was very excited to have a really BIG bed!  And yes...those are sock monkey sheets - it is a cowboy/train/sock monkey experience!

John  has strep throat and wheezing.  I have started breathing treatments around the clock and this is working out great - Randy is sound asleep in the other room and I am laying in bed with John giving him a treatment!  This mattress is sooooo comfortable!  Randy is going to be looking for me...sleeping in baby's bed.

Part of me is sad.

My little boy is growing up really fast.

Great post! I loved seeing him grow up in just a few pictures. I'm sorry he has strep throat. That's a bummer! Hug him for me. Miss you all!

I love it. What a huge bed for my wonderful nephew. He is the greatest thing. I know how sad it is when they leave the crib for a toddler bed and then for a big bed. It almost made me cry too. Sorry that he is sick. Give him a lollipop from his Aunt Debbie and a big kiss!!!! Love y'all!!!

Love this post, well, except for the part about him being sick. Such a cute boy.
