F.F.F.

Webster Dictionary defines a "lady" as: a refined, polite woman or a noble woman.
I would like to introduce you to a lady - my Aunt Thelma.
I've met many women, girls, chicks, mothers, aunts, girlfriends, sisters, nieces, cousins, daughters...but I have not met many "ladies" and my Aunt Thelma was a lady.

I never heard her say one foul word, speak ill of another person, or carry on in an un-lady-like manner. She was always polished, her children were always neat, and her house was spotless - she took great pride in the way she carried herself. She was petite, soft spoken, and one of the kindest human beings on this earth.

She was so kind & loving to me. She would send me postcards and greeting cards constantly for no particular reason. She would sent me gifts...even when it wasn't my birthday or Christmas! She would always tell me how beautiful I was...or how special I was...or how much she loved me - she was very positive.

I cried the day she left this earth but I knew she went to a better place to be with the love of her life. Several years before she died I mailed her a little pillow that said "Somebody in Texas Loves You". We were unable to attend the funeral but my cousin told me that they put my little pillow in her casket.

I think of her often - my Mom reminds me of her. I wish she was here to meet my Little John...I know she would think he was "just the berries"!

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. I think it looks like a postcard!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Awesome! Aren't we lucky to have those "ladies" in our lives. She seems like a great one to know and love. Nice post.
